Monsoon likely to be ‘normal’ at 96% despite El Nino conditions: IMD

A day after private weather forecaster Skymet predicted a “below normal” monsoon this year in India, the IMD on Tuesday said it’s likely to be “normal”, with a 49% probability of “normal to above normal” rainfall during the June-September period.
