Himachal Pradesh introduces cow cess of ₹10 on sale of liquor

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presented the state budget on Friday, introducing a cow cess on alcohol purchase. ₹10 will be levied on every bottle of liquor, with the CM adding that the move was intended to raise additional revenue of ₹100 crore per annum.
